在我还是个小学生的时候，在北京动物园里看到了至今难忘的一幕。动物园里有一个虎场，里面有七八只老虎。我们过去时，恰巧赶上给老虎喂食的时间。老虎的食物是一头小牛，我原本以为会有幸看到一个“群虎争食”的场景，不料却看到了“小牛逗虎”的奇观。

车前行着，我却开始奇怪同，上好的路，车身却微微颠簸，不像坐其他三轮车一样。目光往下一移，却猛然发现，他居然只有一条腿！他失去的是右腿，那截空空的裤管，挽了个疙瘩，悬在空中，随着他蹬车的频律，先向前一冲，片刻停顿之后又向前一冲。为了加快蹬车的速度，他的臀部时时脱离座垫，身子向前倾，以把所有的力量都集中在那惟一的一条腿上。
望着那截空空的裤管，我心里很不是滋味。我十七出头，100多斤的体重．．．．．．我几次想下车，却又怕玷污了一些圣洁的东西。
前面是一带上坡。我说，“我先下车，帮你把车推过去吧。”他连忙制止“不用，不用，这点坡都爬不上，我咋个挣生活呀。上次，我还靠我这条腿，载着两个老外游过嘉兴呢！”言毕，快乐地笑了两声。的确是个不一样的人。车子遇上徒坡，便倔强地不肯前行，甚至有后退的趋势。车夫弓起身子，加速向前蹬，车子发出“吱吱”的尖叫声。他黝黑的后颈高高绷起一根筋。我想，他此时的脸一定是紫红色的，那单薄的衣服包裹下的肋骨，一定根根可数。
车总算爬上去了，车夫重浊地喘着气。眼前的他，是社会的弱视群体，但在我看来他无疑是个强者。面对命运的不公，他没有选择消沉，而是扬起自信的风帆。残缺的腿，注定了他会有特殊的一生。他却走了不一样的路，就像弯进那条小道。人力车夫，也许是很平常的工作，但对于他，要比正常人付出百倍，千倍的努力！
他把路扔在后面，把坡扔在了后面，挣来了坦荡的生活。他是在与自己较劲，同命运抗争。那条仅有的腿，撑起了他整个人生的重量，撑起了他整个人生的尊严，撑起了他整个人生不寻常的路。
