四六级作文部分有相通之处，但就六级写作而言还是有诸多与四级写作不同之处，根据笔者的教学和阅卷经历，主要有三点不同：
1. 六级作文话题更抽象，考察一定的思辨能力。如2014年6月作文话题为“it is unwise to put all your eggs in one basket”，该文写作时考生切不可仅限于其表面含义“eggs”或“baskets”，而应联系现实生活中写“problems, diverse ability, overall preparation”等具体内容。
2. 六级作文阅卷要求更高：从评卷标准的要求来看，绝不限于六级字数的15—200和四级的12—180之间的差别。一般而言，从原始赋分15分的情况看，同样的话题的11分四级作文在六级的档次就只能拿到9分左右。
3. 六级的作文得高分比四级难很多，从上述第二点差异外。四级考生中，受试者水平有较大差异，四级写作中经常读到一些令人啼笑的幼稚表达和字数都写不够的文章，因此对于阅卷者而言，作文质量和分数高低有直观的判断。但大部分六级考生有一定写作基础，虽然不能说水平多高，但大部分字数都能写够，这种情况下高分作文更要胜在质量上。

第二段通篇论述小事做起的重要性就可以了。
