My favorite festival
Chinese people have been celebrating the Mid-Autumn festival and enjoying mooncakes for centuries. My favorite festival is Mid-Autumn Festival. We usually enjoy the moon on the night of that day. And we also eat fruits, peanuts and mooncakes. I like it because all my family members can sit together to have dinner and talk with each other. On the night ,the moon is so beautiful that it makes me think of Change. It can make me feel the warmth of family.
Changes in my hometown
My hometown has changed a lot in the last few years. In the past, there used to be old small houses in my hometown. The river in front of the village was very dirty, and smelt terrible. The children had to go to school on foot or by bike. But now there are many new tall buildings instead of the small houses. It looks clean everywhere in my hometown. The river is clear enough for children to swim in. Most children go to school by bus, and some parents take their children to school in a car.
My hometown is getting better than it used to be.

Spring festivals is my favourite festival. Before the festival comes, my family and I clean and decorate the house. We go shopping together to buy food and drinks. My favorite festival is Spring Festival. It’s the most important festival in China . It’s celebrated on the first day of the Chinese lunar calendar . Before the festival , our houses have to be cleaned and we need to buy new clothes for a new year’s coming.
On the eve , my family goes to my grandparents’ home for a reunion dinner . Our family usually has a big meal. We have dumplings 、fish、niaogao and a great many dishes. On the first day of New Year , people usually wear their new clothes and visit their relatives and friends . Children will receive red packets filled with “ lucky money ”. That’s one of my favorite parts of this festival.
What a happy Spring Festival it is ! I wish I have Spring Festival every day.

My favorite festival is spring festival. The Spring Festival is our Chinese people's festival. There are different names for each Chinese year. We call it the year of the dog, the year of the pig, the year of the tiger ...And the year of 2013 is the year of snake.
Before the day of the festival, people are busy shopping and cleaning their houses. On the Eve, there is a big family dinner. After dinner, all the family stay up late to welcome the New Year. It is the middle of the night. We have dumplings. We can watch many kinds of parties on TV. On the first day of the New Year, people put on their new clothes and go to visit their friends. They say "Happy New Year" and some other greetings to each other. people have a good time during the festival.
