Ⅴ. Anticipated problems and possible solutions:
Problem1: I will ask a question〝what are the differences
and changes among four seasons?〞, students
may can not express their opinions properly.
Solution: I arrange free time to think and discuss, and
allow them to use Chinese, the purpose also is
learning new vocabulary and they can easily
remember.
Problem2: There are many new words, and our practice
time is not enough Students cannot remember
or be confused.
Solution: To allocate enough time finish every task
perfectly seems unrealistic, but they are not key
words, we don’t ask to remember them, and we
will use them many times, and we will practice
talking.

Warm up:
(1) Greeting to the whole class.
T: Good afternoon, everyone!
S: Good afternoon, teacher!
(2) Asking a question for introducing the topic
T: It is rainy today. Do you enjoy weather?
S: No, I don’t like the weather.
T: Yes, You know, summer is coming soon, and it is
always rains in summer. But do you know how
seasons are divided? And what’s the weather
like in different seasons?

tell the whole class.﹚
S: Yes, I know. Spring is from March to May, and
it’s warm in spring…
T: Good. Sit down please.

一、教学内容
单词学习：season、spring、summer、fall、winter
句型问答：What’s your favorite season?What’s the weather like in__?
二、设计思路
围绕season这一主题，利用图片，激发学生的学习兴趣，并通过guess游戏，chant、小组合作等方式充分调动学生的积极性，在完成听、说、读、写任务的同时达到交际的目的。
三、教学目标
1、知识目标：学习单词season、spring、summer、fall、winter。使用句型：“What’s your favorite season?”和“ What’s the weather like in __?”进行提问，并能根据实际情况回答。
2、能力目标：培养学生运用英语进行交流的能力。
3、情感目标：培养学生小组合作意识，并培养学生善于观察生活、善于总结归纳的良好习惯，同时让学生珍惜时间努力学习。
四、教学重点
1、学习单词：season、spring、summer、fall、winter。
2、句型：“What’s your favorite season?和“ What’s the weather like in__ ?”及其回答。
五、教学难点

八、教学过程
（一）Warming up
1、Greetings
2、教师通过简笔画，复习有关天气的形容词，如:warm、hot、cool、cold等。教师引导学生可以边听边根据该形容词做出相应的动作。
3、教师和单个学生进行回答: What’s your favorite fruit/colour? （简单问候营造轻松学习英语气氛，通过复习旧知识导入新课）
（二）Presentation 课件展示春、夏、秋、冬四幅图片。
1、T says：Today，we will learn seasons。 look! There are four seasons in a year.课件呈现单词season 让学生跟随电脑读单词season,并拼读单词season。
2、课件呈现出一幅春季图。
T points to the picture and asks:What season is it?
课件在春季图下面呈现单词spring。让学生跟随电脑读单词spring，并拼读单词spring。然后教师指着春季图又问：What’s the weather like in spring? （让单个学生回答：It’s warm.）
3、利用课件呈现出夏季图，秋季图、冬季图。教师用同样的方法教授单词summer、fall和winter以及问答句型：What’s the weather like in summer/fall/winter?（利用图片引入新词很直观，能激发学生学习兴趣）
（三）Practice
1、比赛：以组为单位，开火车读新单词。如第1小组每个同学都读season这个单词，假如每个同学都读准了，就可以为本组赢得一个笑脸。
2、Guessing游戏：Teacher gives pupils some direction and let them guess“Which season is it? For example: It’s hot ,you can eat ice cream.叫最先举手的同学回答，说对了可以为本组赢得一个笑脸。
（通过游戏、开火车比赛读和猜季节游戏既可以巩固新知识，同时激发了学生的兴趣）
4、课件再次呈现春、夏、秋、冬四幅图，叫两学生对每幅图进行问答： What season is it? What’s the weather like in„？
（学生两两同学谈论每图时，教师可给学生5分钟时间练习说，然后以大组为单位，点两同学站起来展示他们的对话，根据各组表现得笑脸）
5、let’s chant
let’s students look at the pictures and chant after the tape。 （chant有助于学习记忆季节单词，同时培养了学生的语感）
（四）问与答（ask and answer）
首先教师创设情景导入对话：
a: What’s your favorite season? b: Spring.
其次，教师组织问答游戏，学生齐问，个别答。
最后，教师全班分成两部分，一部分问，另一部分答或反过来。接着，叫两两同学做对话练习。（教师给学生2分钟练习时间）最后，以组为单位叫两两同学展示他们的对话，根据各组表现予以奖励。
（通过师生对话、生生对话来培养学生实际运用语言的能力）
（五）Sing an English song “What’s your favorite season?” listen and enjoy the song
(Aims: make use of songs that are connected with content,to attract pupils’ attention to generate their interest)

My favourite season is autumn. It is a harvest season. Farmers are all busy getting in the crops. There are lots of different fruits in the season, such as apples, oranges, bananas and so on. The Mid-Autumn Festival is the Chinese traditional festival in autumn. People often have a big family dinner to celebrate it. The whole family have mooncakes and admire the full moon in the open air at night.
It is cool in autumn. So autumn is a good season to travel. National Day is on October 1. Lots of people go out for a trip during the holiday. We can learn a lot about the history of our country from the trip. I want to visit Beijing, the capital of China, with my parents this autumn. People also do many different kinds of sports in autumn. For example, children often fly kites in the park. The young like climbing the hills and having a camping trip at weekends. The old can go out for a walk and do some exercise.
There are many beautiful flowers in autumn. Chrysanthemums are the most popular. They have a sweet smell.
