There are many advantages to a college or university education. Students have ample opportunity to explore a variety of interests, increase both their general and specific knowledge, prepare for a chosen career and develop independence. All of these are valuable goals to achieve, but it is my belief that most students today pursue higher education insgroupsto prepare for their future careers.
In the past, only the rich and privileged had the opportunity to attend a university and their goals were very different. 所谓喜，是喜在今年高考的作文试题出得好，它要求考生读一则简短寓言后，写一篇以“诚信”为话题的文章，立意自定，文体自选，题目自拟，这就为考生提供了发挥驾驭中文和创新能力的宽广天地。喜在江苏这位考生用古白话文编撰的蜀关羽坐骑赤兔马为“诚信”殒身的文章，故事感人，文如流水，烘托出“真英雄必讲诚信”的主题，构思新颖可嘉。喜在当代伯乐和勇于教改者不乏其人，阅卷老师给了满分，南京大学当即表示愿予破格录取。 所谓忧，是感到深化教改的工作真难。据该报道称，当地招生办有关负责人提出，南大破格录取的前提是该考生必须填报了南大———这有道理；问题是，他还提出该生的总考分必须达到最低投档线，如果达不到这个要求，则不论是所填报的学校还是南京大学，都无权破格录取，这个拥有中文高素质的考生就只能被拒之于高等学府门外。
这就不能不使我提出质疑：既然现在高等院校的体育专科可以对体育高才生降低总考分予以特招，高校的教育改革还在提倡学分制，为什么对中文、数学、物理等专业的高才生就不能予以破格录取或者实行单科入学呢？我认为，要求基础教育注重学生的全面发展，并不等于要求学生所有学科的考试成绩都要达到高分，因为发挥学生的个性特长也很重要。如果对南大破格录取之举，这也不行，那也不准，那么，又怎么能使单科成绩特别优秀的高才生脱颖而出呢？
再说，不是一再强调要赋予高等院校以办学自主权吗？如果他们连破格录取一名单科高才生的自主权也没有，又怎能创造性地办好高等教育呢？联想到我国近代教育史上的几则“佳话”，确值得深思。1929年，著名教育家、清华大学校长罗家伦先生就曾将作文试卷优秀、英文成绩满分、数学考试只有15分的考生钱钟书，予以破格录取。蔡元培先生在担任北京大学校长期间，看到胡适在《新青年》发表的《文学改良刍议》后，正式聘胡适为北大文学教授；后来又将没有大学学历、年仅24岁的梁漱溟，破格聘请到北大讲授印度哲学。设想罗、蔡先生如果处在今天，也可能难尽其美。目前我们的教育体制在好些问题上仍然存在有集权过多、统得过死、不利于广大校长和教师充分发挥创造性去开拓素质教育新局面的弊端。这正说明深化教育体制改革确很重要，又很迫切。
南大破格录取单科高才生遇到困难，只是深化教改步履艰难的一个事例。事实上，现在除少数地方外，广大青少年在12年寒窗苦读中，基本上靠同样的统编教材和一套高考试卷定终身。这些都亟待加快步伐深化改革，使之臻于科学、合理。希望党政领导和教育战线的同志创造性地贯彻落实中央的有关决定，特别是对如何改革高考制度，促进素质教育全面推行，认真加强研究和探讨，要解放思想，敢闯敢试。 刘正

近日，京东CEO刘强东在母校人民大学进行了演讲，他回忆了自己在大学里的生活，称上大学期间只用了家里的500元，之后靠抄写信封、卖书及写程序赚学费。
生活和创业经历
其实在这之前跟大家沟通，就是跟我们学校也沟通过，讲的范围比较大，所以我还是希望能够讲一点更接地气的，从我们学习和创业的方面跟大家分享。我是1992年，如果没有记错的话，好像是9月7号左右我们到达了学校。在那时候从徐州到北京，坐火车要14小时。今天只有两个小时40分钟就到了，那个年代可以说，我们大部分的学生，70%是穷人家的孩子，非常非常贫穷。
我们那个时候上学带了什么东西，我背着蚊帐、被子、褥子，然后还背了脸盆，洗脸的脸盆都是自己背过来的，然后还背了一个茶缸子，都是从宿迁背到学校来，考人大的时候我报的，本来最开始我想上，因为我物理化学非常好，在初中高中的时候，这两门学科一直最好，也是我最喜欢的。其实我一直想上一个物理系和化学系，上学之前我们的班主任，也是特别希望他的学生们，都能够去上文科学，去当官去，他说官场里面的贪官太多了一点，他觉得他的学生都是好人，毕业之后能做一个好官，所以说在老师的感召之下报我们人大。
当时22个系在江苏省招人，哪个是当官的？社科系是当官的，就报了。录取完之后我们的老师，学校的一个教研组组长碰到了，说你知道社会学是干什么吗？我说不是研究社会的吗？当官的呀，他说是去调查村子，你去调查一个村子的男女比例多少，平均身高多少，平均寿命多少，等等等等。
到大三的时候，我们同学就坐在这儿，我还跑到江苏省，跟苏北电力管理系统，沈阳迪奥快餐(音)，现在在沈阳还开了13家店呢，是个台湾人开的。所以那个时候确实是，赚了一点钱。到了大三的时候，我基本上是我们班里面的第二红，第一红在这儿。他那时候是在人大出书的，新财会，新会计指南，又是新办公室大全，又是新的什么东西，反正每本书都定价三百、二百，很贵。
但是有很多办公室的人，总要白底书的后面，看起来像那么回事，私企的很少，基本上是国企还有低级企业，每个人都要在后面弄个书柜的，显示他看了很多书，实际我相信他一辈子可能都没翻过书。
我来北京上学的时候，因为家里很穷，只带了五百块钱。这五百块钱是谁的？还是各个亲戚，知道我考上大学了，在那个年代要送，农村叫出礼，就是你结婚的时候我送你，你家里有喜事，我们也五块十块的出礼，收了五百块钱，然后来的时候我就跟自己说，我希望在人大的四年，再也不问家里要钱了。
因为抱着这么一个自我的要求，所以来了之后，就是上学期开始搞家教，到下个学期开始抄信封，大概抄了将近一年时间的信封，什么是抄信封呢？在那个年代，因为计算机还不够发达，现在我相信都是打印好的。那个时候我们人大有很多老师，还有学生办班，什么叫办班呢？基本上就是江苏省宿迁县农业局局长收，然后一打开里面就是农业部某某某研究所，我们要牵线主管农业的副院长，或者农林局局长培训会，北京来三天。其中在人大上课一个小时，剩下时间都是长城、颐和园、故宫。{上大学作文}.
你想想这些领导的话，那个时候来趟北京还不容易，很多局长没来过北京，所以接到这个封一看，农业部的，而且所有费用国家出，所以这样来报的人就很多。其中最关键的是抄信封，也就是写一个江苏省宿迁市，拿一个黄页，邮政局买的黄页，上面全国所有的县都有，一个一个县写，江苏省宿迁县农业局局长，然后某某某写的，写完之后信封要折起来放进去，然后用胶水给它封好，整个过程按照三二一基本上，就是抄三分，放进去两分，最后再抹上胶水，一分，可以赚到六分钱。
所以第一年基本上都是，所有的费用主要来自于抄信封，我大概每个要抄个三天到四天，有的时候在314宿舍，因为晚上十点钟关灯了，但是走廊的灯是不关的，所以就搬个小板凳坐在地上，抱个箱子就开始在那儿抄。一万个信封六百块，写完一个心里就想三分钱。
写了一年多，看我们班同学做书发了财了，所以在他的感召之下就给他推销书去，暑假到大二放暑假的时候，准备用一个暑假的时间，把大三的所有钱赚回来。给大推销书，那个时候运气还不错，就是每天骑一个大二八自行车，后面抱着个一二十本很厚的书，你要拿样本，然后还有一个书单子，每次搬上来后面背着很沉，上面是金融大厦，反正各个写字楼，一个一个敲门，您要书吗？什么书啊，打开看看。
给我们大概四折，我们原价卖出去就赚60%，定价三百块钱，卖出一本书就能赚到180块钱。有一次我很幸运，在农业银行应该是，农业银行就是木樨地那边，一次卖了一二十本书，还挺开心的。
到了大三就开始给人写程序，写程序那个年代是非常赚钱的，基本上我可以用一个月晚上的时间，大概赚到五万块钱，给人写一套系统。其实很简单，说实话，就是数据库，那个年代因为程序员实在太少了，计算机刚有。到了大三下半学期，基本上我应该是我们班里很有钱的。到大三下学期，我手里拿着大哥大，那个年代大哥大毫不客气的说，我们系主任李强老师是没有大哥大的。然后是摩托罗拉的，大家想一想二十岁一个小孩，去人大的系门，到那个同学餐厅，朝那儿一坐，大哥大往那儿一弄，然后服务员过来，大哥，想吃点啥？
看着真的像香港的黑社会一样的，然后还特别逗，我们当时打电话的时候，不好意思当同学面打，还是比较低调，躲在树后面，然后有一天一个男人跑过来，问我这是真的假的，你们知道什么意思吗？那个年代很多人装酷，拿一个假大哥大，十五块钱买的，实际上就是塑料壳。那个时候BB机，汉显BB机，双排汉显BB机，2460元一个，一个BB机，我那个手机是26000多块钱买的。那我不管，接着打一分钟是四毛钱，打的话是一块多，接是四毛，接电话还要钱呢，还是很贵的。
然后到了大学四年级我就想我该创业了，而且那时候兜里面还有二十万多块钱，还有二十多万现金，然后中关村去装了电脑，花了两万多，买了台电
脑。而且在装电脑时候有个小插曲，因为学了编程以后，经常跑到联想大厦去免费做他的推销员，因为他大厦里面有五六台电脑。
找一个人，来的时候你就可以用他电脑，带上那个气巴二太(音)，大字盘，很大。后来出来那个1.40兆那小字盘，我把原来的那个拿过去，因为它代码很简单，点开来的时候我给他写封信，以后就开始免费帮推销员给他联想电脑多么好，怎么怎么…
所以老去，对中关村比较熟悉，我经常买电脑的时候，也舍不得买这个，因为那时候联想电脑一台五万多。柳传志现在有一次北大讲课的时候，他说一台电脑一万八，卖一台电脑。{上大学作文}.
然后我一个暑假，我花了三天的时间到中关村，把中关村所有的电脑店都走遍了，到最后我选定了一家最便宜的，最便宜的一家店。然后装电脑的过程中这个老板过来了，问说这台电脑多少钱，我说这台电脑两万多块钱。老板说怎么这么便宜，然后这个业务员，正在给我装业务员的学生说，没办法，人大的学生，这台电脑就赚他两千块。
你们都没有干过这个是吧，就装台机器就赚两块钱，那是最少的。那年在中关村给人装台电脑都是五千块钱，可以赚到五千块钱的。一台电脑三四万，一夜之间中关村最早发财的是什么，是在中关村修自行车的人。真的，都不是拧螺丝嘛。
修自行车收两块，一块，然后传台电脑一下赚两三千，一夜之间中关村没有人修自行车，所有的拧螺丝的人全跑到电脑前去拧螺丝去了，赚电脑去了。
所以到大四的时候，就第一次想创业。想什么，我觉得人以食为先，而且人大里面有一个叫食为先海域，一个很高端的一个做海鲜的一个餐厅，我就人定了，我觉得老百姓不管怎么样，需要食物，所以创业最好开餐厅，而且自己也是吃货，还喜欢做菜。
所以那时候在人大找到了，往一条斜街里面，找到一家餐厅非常好，而且在人家那里面吃了一顿，确实非常好。老板突然有一天在那贴告示，说决定把这餐厅盘出去，自己要去北京火车站去开更大，1500平的大餐厅。所以我觉得
很高兴，我说机会来了，然后我就把这24万块钱，什么推销术，各种写的这程序赚了二十多万块钱。
背着俩书包，那时候还没有银行卡，也没有什么在线支付，什么都没有，从邮局那边把钱取出来，24万现金，背着两个大书包。跑那给老板跟前一放，把老板吓了半天，没见过这么傻的，因为也没有讨价还价，他那写的24万，我就给了他24万。
然后给完钱之后，老板跟我说需要做什么，我说需要你走了，接下来就是我的了，然后老板背着钱傻乎乎的走了，头都没回。然后过了六个月之后，房东来收房租了，我说这不对呀，我说我当时买这餐厅，我就想这房子是我的呀，说不对，你这是租的，房子是我们蓝靛厂的，海淀造纸厂，才知道等于买餐厅的时候，不知道那餐厅是租的，也就是你没有做何的准备，没有做任何的竞价厂商。
对法律，对什么房产对什么一无所知，没一点点经验。把老板送走的时候，当场就开全体员工会，我特意跑到海淀那边一个商场，去买了20多块手表，表达心意，送表那时候在我们那个时代，送表是表达心意的。在这种最好的朋友之间或者是情人之间送手表。
当时我一人送了一个那叫做卡西欧的手表，两百多，很贵的。一人送了一块，然后就开始问大家有什么困难，那时候他们所有的员工都住在叫稻香园那个地下室，当时的地下室很糟糕，然后下暴雨的时候，水都倒灌下去，一倒灌下去，你到地下室里面，都两块砖，三块砖摞起来，那洗手间根本就进不去。
说了生活条件太差，我说这不是人过的日子。所以到六郎庄给他们租了两个院子，而且还装了空调，冬天都暖气。所以餐厅老板规定员工所有客人的菜，剩下的菜你想吃都可以，只要你想吃你都可以留下来。
然后如果餐厅想炒新菜，你只有两个，一个就是豆芽，超过三天的，在冰箱里放了三天之后，到了第三天长老，就卖不老的这种新鲜的菜，不能再存放的你可以吃。第二就是吃客人剩下的菜。
