However, when we reached the top, we were shocked to see litter here and there, such as bottles and banana peels. Then we started to pick up the litter. Our class intended to go out for spring outing. We discussed where to go. Some preferred to go to amusement park; some felt like going boating in the park and others were willing to climb the mountain. In the end, we made up our mind to climb the mountain. Early in the next morning, we set out to climb the mountain. The sun was shining and the air was fresh. the beautiful trees and flowers, we were all impressed by the scenery. As we got to the top of the mountain, we were exhausted. But to our surprise, there were a variety of wastes lying on the ground, such as the plastic cans, the food wastes and so on. , we all picked up the wastes and put them into our bags. When we reached
the foot of the mountain, we found two bins. One was intended for recycled wastes and the other was for non-recycled wastes. So we sorted out the wastes and threw them into the correct bins. After everything was finished, we were all tired but we thought it was worthwhile to protect the environment. (but our efforts didn’t prove to be in vain.) We should pay more attention to it and take measures to protect it. We all believe if we do so we will have a more beautiful environment. (228字)

Eventually, we decided to climb mountain.
Early in the morning, we arrived at Xiang Shan Park together. It was a sunny day. And the beautiful scenery surrounding us seemed like a painting. The trees and flowers kept us spellbound. We enjoyed the fresh air. On the top of the mountain, we spotted a variety of rubbish, such as bananas, empty bottles, plastic bags and so on. We aimed to protect the environment, so we picked up the rubbish. On the way back, we sorted out the rubbish and threw them into the bins. To our delight, we helped to protect the environment, which made our day more meaningful. It is our responsibility to protect our earth. We couldn’t get the day off our mind. (146字)

Looking around and enjoying the beautiful views, we felt so excited that we forgot the exhaustion. However, we were disappointed/shocked when we reached the top of the mountain. After that, we put/dropped/threw/tossed the rubbish/garbage/trash into the bins separately.
Though clearing up the rubbish was a tough task, it gave us complete fulfillment. It was a great satisfaction to us that we made contributions to environment protection. Meanwhile, we realized it was of great importance to raise public awareness of no littering in public areas. (205)

pick him up at the Capital Airport. On our way back we chatted happily. Since it was the first time that Mike had been to Beijing, he was curious about everything. In order to get him to have a better idea of Chinese culture, I arranged a series of activities for him.
After he dropped his luggage and had a rest, I showed him around the old streets nearby on a rickshaw. The buildings along the streets witnessed the development of Beijing. The rickshaw driver gave a vivid introduction to the history of Hutongs, especially the famous Maoer Hutong, which symbolized traditional Chinese construction in Beijing. Mike felt excited about being exposed to a totally different culture and he couldn’t help asking all kinds of questions.
The Following day, I took him to Mei Lanfang Grand Theater to watch Peking Opera. Although he could understand few words, the fantastic costumes took his breath away. Mike spoke highly of the unique way of performing. He was deeply impressed by the colorful makeup and he considered it a real feast.
How time flew! It was time for him to leave for the US. When he was packing, I gave him a Chinese knot and a Peking Opera mask as souvenirs. Mike appreciated what I had done for him and told me he had fallen in love with Beijing and the diversified Chinese culture.

when I was walking on the street, I came across/ran into/met with/saw two travelers who were reading a map, looking puzzled. It seemed that they were lost. Seeing this, I went up to them and asked how I could help. They told me that they were wondering how they could get to the Temple of Heaven, but the map was quite confusing and they couldn’t figure out which bus to take.
Fortunately I was very familiar with the place, so I led them to the nearby bus stop and advised them to take Bus No. 20, which would take them 4 stops to get there. While we were waiting for the bus, I also introduced to them some interesting stories about the Temple of Heaven. They cheered up and appreciated my help greatly. Shortly afterwards, the bus came. We waved goodbye to each other. I also wished them to enjoy their travel in China. Seeing them getting on the bus, I felt so delighted to be able to help foreigners. It was such a lovely day today that I together with my friend went to the park to have fun.
Immediately after we arrived there, we started to roller skate. We were skating around merrily, chatting and laughing all the time when suddenly we heard a child crying sadly. Wondering what was happening / Out of curiosity, we slowed down, slid over and saw a girl standing near the exit of the Children’s Amusement Center alone, with tears rolling down her face / in panic. We talked with her and learned that she got separated from her mom and was at a loss what to do.
Hearing her story, we decided to help the girl. My friend volunteered to broadcast to find her mother while I stayed with her, trying my best to comfort and amuse her. To my relief, the little girl calmed down and stopped crying.
Shortly afterwards, a woman rushed towards us anxiously. Seeing her mother, the girl jumped with joy, ran to her mother and threw herself into her mother’s arms. The mother appreciated our help and she was moved beyond words.
It was a fantastic day for me. I not only enjoyed myself in the park with my friend but also managed to help the girl find her mother. It was great fulfillment that we gave a hand to people in need! (227)
