二、导致交通事故风险比通常高
当车速达到60km/h时，低头看手机3秒，相当于盲开50米，一旦遇紧急情况，至少需要20米的刹车距离。开车看手机的人，千万别拿生命开玩笑!
三、影响其他车辆的通行效率，加剧路面车辆拥堵
据交警说，近年来在执勤过程中越来越多的发现司机会在等红绿灯的时候会看手机。而当红灯跳转成绿灯时，看手机的司机往往要等到后车按喇叭后才能察觉。
一辆车慢个一两秒，看起来问题似乎不大。但如果排头的几辆车的司机都在玩手机，启动车辆时都慢一点点，必然会影响到整条车道的车辆通过率大大降低。进而拖慢各个路口的车辆通行速度，从而加剧整个城市道路的拥堵。
另外，绿灯亮起时前面的车还不走，后车驾驶员就会会跟着着急，这加剧了司机路怒的可能性。“有时会出现奇怪的现象，红灯变为绿灯亮时，一列汽车都没有反应，没有人启动也没有人按喇叭，这就更可怕了。这说明这些司机都在玩手机，而且都没意识到已经跳灯了。” 等红灯的时候看手机引起的车辆启动缓慢，会导致启动车辆时的慌乱，更增加追尾的可能性。
