Father’s Day
When I was five, my biological father committed suicide. It left me feeling as though I'd done something wrong; that if I had been better somehow, maybe he'd have stayed around. My mother remarried shortly thereafter, and this man was my dad until I was nineteen. I called him Dad and used his name all through school. But, when he and my mother divorced, he just walked away. Once again, I wondered what was wrong with me that I couldn't keep a father.
Mother remarried again, and Bob was a wonderful, kind man. I was twenty now and no longer living at home, but I felt a great love and attachment for him.
A few years later my mother was diagnosed with cancer and was not given long to live. Shortly before she died, Bob came over to my house alone one day. We talked about a lot of things, and then he told me that he wanted me to know that he'd always be there for me, even after Mother was gone. Then he asked if he could adopt me.
I could hardly believe my ears. Tears streamed down my face. He wanted me - me! This man had no obligation to me, but he was reaching out from his heart, and I accepted. During the adoption proceedings, the judge commented on all the undesirable duties of his profession and then with a tear in his eye, thanked us for brightening his day as he pronounced us father and daughter. I was twenty-five, but I was his little girl.
Three short years later, Bob, too, was diagnosed with cancer and was gone within the year. At first I was hurt and angry at God for taking this father away too. But eventually the love and acceptance that I felt from Dad came through again, and I became, once more, grateful for the years we had.
On Father's Day I always reflect on what I've learned about fatherhood. I've learned that it is not dependent on biology or even on raising a child. Fatherhood is a matter of the heart. Bob's gift from the heart will warm my soul for eternity.英语节作文800。

我的学习体会
我今年15岁了，已经是一名初中生了，在这七八年的读书生崖中，我学会了很多知识，也懂得一些学习方法，可以说是对各科总结了不少学习的方法。
读二年级时，我背书总是死记硬背，根本没有什么效果。后来，在爸爸的指导下，也渐渐地明白了背课文时应当一自然段一自然段的背。背完了第一自然段再背第二自然段，再连接起来背，这样一会儿就背熟了。然而有的同学是读完整篇课文后再一起背，结果一天下来一篇课文都不能搞定。同学们都觉得我的背书方法可行，因为这样既不浪费时间，效果又好，以前每次老师抽背，我都是最差的，我用了这方法后就变成了最好的。还可以节省很多时间学其他科呢。
以前我的数学不是很好，到了五年级后，我慢慢懂得了数学应该怎么学。原来学数学紧紧靠学书本的内容是不够的，应该多找点题来做。在懂书本的知识的基础上找多点题目来练习，多钻研。练多点同步的题。数学是一门非常考逻辑思维的学科，如果头脑不够灵活，跟本学不了。多练题有几种好处：一。可以增加对数学的兴趣。二。开括思维，开阔知识面。等等…。。数都数不完。我就是这样学数学，还让我的数学成绩一天比一天好，对数学的兴趣也越来越浓。到六年级的时候，我的数学成绩在班里可以说是名列前矛，一个学期得了好几次满分。不过我还是比较粗心。尽管这样，我对数学从来没感到满足过，但捉得也不算很紧，因为我觉得单单一科拔尖是没用的，要科科平行才可以。
六年级我的两科都还算可以，到了初中又增加了一科---英语，刚开始我对英语非常感兴趣，到现在也一样，不过刚开始的成绩不是很好，慢慢的我在一位同学的帮助下，现在我的英语总算好了点，不过还不算很好。每次测验都是选择题错的多，都不知道为什么。现在我对英语还没总结有什么方法。我觉得最重要的是课文的3A和3B的内容还有记熟单词。语法。虽然现在我的英语不是很好，但我相信总有一天我的英语会好起来的。
而语文这科呢，我也不知道该怎么学才好，我的语文成绩老是上下起伏，特别是初中时，很多主观题不敢按自己想的去写，做题也没以前果断了。我觉得语文最重要的是理解，知识要灵活应用，靠死记硬背是徒劳无功的。还有，做题一定要果断。对于语文我也不敢妄做评论，因为我的语文不好。希望我的语文能和数学拉平，别再起伏不定。这样我的总体成绩一定很好！
这就是我对学习的一点点体会和理解。

作为一个学生，从上学到现在上过的课当然不计其数，但是印象最深的不过只有几节，在这几节记忆犹新的课中我最喜欢的就是三年级时张老师给我们上的一节数学课。
张老师是一个刚毕业的老师，十分年轻有活力，讲课也十分风趣，总是带给我们意想不到的惊喜，简直把简单枯燥的数学课给讲活了。记得那节课讲的是“循环小数”。早上第一节就是数学课，大家早就坐好，想着今天她又会带给我们什么样的惊喜，正想着，上课铃响了，张老师迈着轻盈的步伐走了进来，问好后，只见张老师神秘的一笑说：“我今天给大家带来了一个故事，大家想不想听？”我们都齐声喊道：“想！”张老师又微微一笑，然后讲了起来：“从前有座山，山里有座庙，庙里有个老和尚在给小和尚讲故事，讲的是从前有座山，山里有座庙，庙里有个老和尚在给小和尚讲故事，讲的是从前有座山，山里有座庙，庙里有个老和尚在给小和尚讲故事，讲的是从前有座山，山里有座庙，庙里有个老和尚在给小和……”教室里有人打起呵欠来，议论声也想了起来，我心里也在想：张老师怎么会讲这么无聊的故事呢？她有什么用意呢？这时，板猪忍不住喊了起来：“老师，像你那么讲，什么时候是头啊？”老师听后并没有生气，又笑了，说：“板猪说得对，这个故事永远都不会到头，而且每段都一样呢，那么在数学中有什么也想这个故事一样永无止境呢？”我们这才恍然大悟，异口同声地说：“循环小数。”“没错，那么我们今天就来学习循环小数，Let’s go!”“谁能来概括一下什么是循环小数？”别墅站起来说：“循环小数就是一个数，他的小数部分重复一个或几个数字的循环节，一直都不断。”“好，意思是这样，请大家把书翻到第32页，网虫，你来读一下循环小数的概念。”网虫站了起来，读道：“一个小数，从小数部分的某一位起，一个数字或者几个数字依次不断地重复出现，这样的小数叫做循环小数。”接着老师又用有趣的卡通图案讲了什么是纯循环小数什么是混循环小数……
“零零零……”一阵悦耳的铃声响了起来，张老师走上讲台，说：“这节课就到这里，同学们再见！”大家这才如梦初醒，恨为什么不停电多上一会儿。
