I like making friends with many people, so I have a lot of friends. My best friend is Tom. He is a boy. He is my classmate. He is taller than me; he has two small eyes and short black hair. He runs so fast that I can not catch up with him. He is an excellent student. He is not only good at in sports, but also is very kind and modest. There are three people in his family and he is the only child. His father is a doctor and his mother is a high school teacher. Though Tom's family is wealthy, he is usually simply dressed. He has a dream which is to be a policeman. He is honest，courageous，and stubborn. In Tom’s world, we should be honest to face all of life. He is an honest child. He often told me that we should treat others honestly. When we treat others in honest way, others will treat us in that way. Therefore, he has many good friends. The neighbors like him very much. In 2008, I was very hard because I was sick; I had to stay in hospital. But it was my third year at high school and College Entrance Examination was coming. I worried about my studies and
my future. Just then, my friend Tom came to my rescue. He gave up his free time for more than one month and taught me in hospital everyday. He gave me both knowledge and faith in the future. Since this time I said to myself, He will always be my friend. Once on the summer afternoon, when we were young, we played football in the street and we were very happy because in the morning we had an exam and passed it. The teacher said we had good grades and we could graduate form this school. Then, he accidentally kicked the ball to someone else's house and broke the window. Then I wanted to run away, but he said we should be honest to admit our mistakes. He let me know that we should be truthful.
He was a very brave child. When we were in junior high school, near my class there were a few naughty students who often frighten younger girls and boys. Once, Tom and I came home from school to see them trying to scare a little boy I advised him to take care of himself, but he had to do that in front of several people. He told me that we should be brave to overcome bad things. At that time, he let me know his courageous side. I knew he had a dream to be a policeman. In fact, policeman themselves are the most courageous. My
friend, Tom usually did some dangerous things that increased and qualified as a policeman. I believe that he will succeed. Now, he is very brave like a real policeman.
Of course, he is not a perfect man. He is a very stubborn man. Once he decides something, no matter what, he should stick to it. Sometimes, I really don’t understand him. He always insists on unuseful things, people don’t understand him. Sometimes he has stubborn others so angry, but he insisted. One morning I got up late. I did not go to school, yet. I called my friend Tom and told him I did not want to go to school, since I got up late. I wanted him to help me tell my teacher I was ill and didn’t go to school in that day. Then he said he could not help me and tell a lie to teacher; as students we should go to school to study, even though I got up late for school.
Everyone needs friends. A good friend can give us help and share our difficulties and happiness. If someone lives
without friends, I don’t imagine his life in the world. Also if someone has a good friend, even only one, I think he may be the luckiest one in the world. I have a good friend Tom; time flies, we have been good friends for several years, and the friendship between us become more sweet and solid.{real,friend,作文}.
I think I am the luckiest one in the world, so I hope Tom and I are best friends, forever. Although we study in different places, he studies at Chinese People's Public Security University in Beijing and so I studies at Shenyang Normal University. I think we should study hard now. They hardly develop into close friendship because it’s rather true that cyber friends have many disadvantages against friends we meet within short distance.
In the first place, we can’t avoid the fact that there exist lots of deceptions and frauds in the virtual world. We cannot deny that heartiness and trust are never absent from true friendship, however, it’s hard to figure out whether your online acquaintances are telling frankly about themselves or just lying to cope with you. How come? When contacting with a friend on Internet, the wall of cyber world will block us from any facial expressions and states of mind, let alone his inner thoughts. Moreover, people actually pay less attention to online affairs than real life matters, so we are used to saying whatever we want without thinking twice during online contacts.{real,friend,作文}.
And then it comes to another drawback of cyber friendship —— “neither lasting nor stable”. Most people turn to online friends only when they feel lonely. That makes friendship start quickly, most of which end sooner or later.
In other cases, online friendship is maintained by what the two have in common. Apart from what is mentioned above, when we talk about friendship, we can’t skip the sense of security given by a friend. Being reliable and responsible is a crucial feature of a true friend. Chances are the majority of us will be less responsible to a person who never shows up in our real life. You won’t be blame if you do anything wrong, and you don’t need to worry about your relationship because everything is just a click away. That makes online friendship becomes cheaper and more like a thing to be consumed.
To conclude, lacking of sincerity, allure and responsibility shows the major disadvantages of online friends. However, those elements are quite vital in maintaining a relationship. So there’s no need arguing whether online friends or face-to-face friends count more. Apparently the latter do.
