A Letter from a Chinese Hosted Family
It’s a wonderful experience for our family to host an AFS exchange student from the August 2013 to the June 2014. Francesca Pesciallo , a sweet and polite 17-year-old girl from La Spezia, Liguria, Italy, is placed in our home.
Francesca works hard and is always considerate, caring and ready to help.
Francesca adjusts herself well to the new home and acts as a lovely daughter to Sandy and me and a thoughtful sister to little Danny. We get very well along and we really appreciate and cherish the experience of her presence.
We don’t know how to express my thanks more to her parents, Maria and
Giorgio, for sharing their daughter with our family, and to the AFS volunteering school :Overseas-Chinese Vocational School of Guangdong Province that placed Francesca in our home and supports us all throughout her stay.
Francesca will return to her family, friends and community in Italy in June and We will never forget her time here and will miss her dearly. Francesca (and her lovely family) will be a part of our lives always. Hosting this young lady is more than just a pleasure and a privilege. And the AFS experience is one that lasts a lifetime.
