捉蜻蜓
童年是一幅画，画里有我们五彩缤纷的生活;童年是一首歌，歌里有我们的幸福和童真；童年是一个梦，梦里有我们的想象与憧憬。童年永远让人怀念。 雨后的田野、乡村、树林，空气是那样清新，天空是那么明朗与宽广。虽然已经进入秋季，但土地还是比较湿润。空气中有泥土的芬芳与花的幽芳，其中还掺杂这树木的气味，闻起来，心旷神怡、沁人心脾。记得小时候，我总会在大雨过后，来到田野里捉蜻蜓，不知是为什么，现在我觉得是因为大雨后的一切是干净的吧!雨后，我拿着事先准备好的网与一个不大不小的瓶子——瓶子上扎几个小孔让蜻蜓透气，如果有时间我会在瓶子中撒满花瓣，那花瓣非常柔软，就像蚕丝一般，在边上滴几滴露水，晶莹的露水闪闪发光，在太阳下，像钻石一般闪着光芒，异常美丽，准备好之后嘴里唱着“晚风中的红蜻蜓，又出现在我的童年.......”出发了。

They don't get involved in improving the schools because they don't think the quality of education is important to their lives. They don't see the connection between themselves and the rest of their community. People don't try to support others around them. They don't keep a friendly eyes on their children, or check in on older folks if they don't see them for a few days. They're not aware when people around them may be going through a hard time. For example, they may not know if a neighbor loses a loved one. There's not a lot of community support for individuals.
Neighbors don't get to know each other. Again, this is because people come and go within a few years. So when neighbors go on vacation, no one is keeping an eye on their house. No one is making sure nothing suspicious is going on there, like lights in the middle of the night. When neighbors' children are cutting across someone's lawn on their bikes, there's no friendly way of casually mentioning the problem. People immediately act as if it's a major property disagreement.
My hometown is a nice place to live in many ways, but it would be much nice if we had that sense of community.
